Chumani Beje was born in Eastern Cape and raised in Gauteng in Tembisa, he started music at the age of 14 years after he lost his mom , it was a way of escaping the pain of losing my mom , I started music in primary school in choir until hight school choir in 2012 i decided to become the recording artist.
It’s when his music career started , he performed in big places such as Orlando stadium, FNB stadium & im an award winner for best hiph hop vernacular ( MTCMA ) Mzansi Traditional Cultural Music Award & i special with African music that mixed with international sound. I do hiphop music , afrobeat music , amapiano music and Afro pop music.
His main goal it’s to make it big in this industry of music and become world known super star
As chumani Beje known as VKS_iqhawe as my stage name , my inspiration it keeps on involving when he was young my inspiration in choir was him running away from the pain I was feeling after my mom past away music was healing me , when he started to take music in a professional level becoming a recording artist my inspiration started to change i started to get inspired by the blow of emtee and nasty c they change the way i view music they showed me that everything is possible and when time goes on my inspiration started to be wizkid because he took local music to international which is Afrobeat.
It's when he see everything is possible as long you believe in yourself and working hard now since I'm grown and it's 2023 his inspiration is from African spirituality through African indigenous guider which is imboni uzwilezwe he inspires me with alot of things for be to be this artist he's today and the way I view life together about artist is way deeper than before and makes me to understand I just don't make music for the sake of music but I make music to restore , bring hope and inspired others outside there who go through the darkness in their lives
His weakness in my journey it's to have a good heart because I end up being used by other bad people , being understanding person in which now I'm working on that I think what made me to be like that is because he grew up without nothing so he always feel like he can help everyone which is not true cos other people they are not good as they speak or look.
